Ellum's encyclopedia and Peptide Access Index exist to report what the record shows. Ellum also has commercial plans. This page explains how we keep the two apart, and where they meet.
Ellum's commercial plans
CMS, LLC plans to:
- open Ellum Clinic, a telehealth practice where licensed doctors can see patients. It isn't open yet and sees no patients;
- sell a small range of non-prescription products.
The sign-up forms on Ellum are how people ask to hear when the clinic opens in their state.
What commercial plans never change
- Status. A peptide's regulatory status comes from FDA and other primary records, with a date and a link. Nobody can set it to suit a sale.
- Evidence grades. Grades follow the published rubric. A grade changes only when the papers change or the rubric gets a new version, and every version is logged.
- Conclusions. What a page says a study shows, and what it doesn't establish, follows the evidence. A peptide the clinic might prescribe gets no softer treatment, and one it never will gets no harsher one.
- Coverage. We write about every peptide with a research or search footprint, whether or not Ellum could ever sell or prescribe it.
Ellum keeps an internal note of which peptides it could lawfully offer. That note decides only where a clinic or store button appears. It never changes a status label, a grade or whether a page exists.
Money we don't take
- No payment from any seller, pharmacy, manufacturer or lab whose products we cover or rate in the Peptide Source Index: no affiliate links, referral fees, revenue share or paid placement.
- No payment per lead to or from other clinics.
- Ellum Clinic isn't open yet and works with no pharmacy. Any pharmacy it works with once it opens will be labeled as such in the Source Index and pay Ellum nothing.
- No sponsored content and no paid ranking.
How you can tell
- When a page mentions something Ellum sells or offers, the page says so next to it.
- Status, grades and the rules behind them are published, so anyone can check them against the sources.
- Corrections are logged publicly on the corrections log.
Who is responsible
Ellum is small, and the same people run the encyclopedia and the commercial plans. That is why we rely on published, mechanical rules rather than on separate teams: status comes from the cited record, grades come from the rubric, and every change is versioned and logged. If you think a page is slanted, email hello@ellumclinic.com.
